Austin has been recognized as Texas' leading city for coffee lovers, ranking 15th nationwide in a study by Clever Real Estate. The study assessed factors such as the number of coffee shops and roasteries per capita, coffee prices, and the local passion for coffee. Austin scored 84.9 out of 100, standing out with 14.7 coffee shops and 1.4 roasteries per 100,000 residents, surpassing the national averages. In stark contrast, other Texas cities like Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston lagged behind, with Houston ranking at the bottom of the list due to its sparse coffee shop presence and higher prices, despite its higher ranking the previous year.
