Breckenridge Coffee Shops Launch Cup Exchange Program

Breckenridge Coffee Shops Launch Cup Exchange Program

Breckenridge's local coffee shops are introducing the Good To Go Cups program, a sustainable initiative aimed at reducing landfill waste. Launching on Earth Day, April 22, this program is part of the town's SustainableBreck Plan, targeting a 40% reduction in waste by 2035. Participating coffee shops like The Crown, Cool River, Semplice Cafe, and Breckenridge Coffee Roasters will offer reusable, compostable polymer cups that customers can rent via an app. Memberships are available, allowing 50 uses per cup across all participating locations. This initiative responds to the 2017 waste audit findings that coffee cups were a major contaminant in the town's recycling efforts. On the launch day, memberships will be offered at a 50% discount with the code BRECK50.
