Brewing Inclusivity - SCA's New Membership Model

The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is introducing a new membership structure designed to enhance inclusivity and connectivity within the global coffee community. The model introduces two types of individual memberships: associate and professional. Associate membership is free and caters to individuals who wish to engage with SCA's events, education, and competitions, or access various resources and standards. The professional membership, priced at US$100, includes voting rights and additional promotional advantages. This strategic move aims to extend the SCA's influence and interaction, aligning with its goal to build thriving, sustainable, and equitable global coffee communities. The initiative is part of the SCA's commitment to improving the specialty coffee industry by providing more opportunities for connection and access to tools, research, and resources. The new membership model is slated for a 2024 launch, with the SCA inviting current and prospective members to reach out with any inquiries.
