Brewing Sustainability - Specialty Coffee Expo Goes Green

The Specialty Coffee Expo, set to take place from 12 to 14 April in Chicago, is showcasing its commitment to sustainability by partnering with Caravela Coffee, Pacific Foods Barista Series, and Barista Attitude to create an offset strategy that benefits coffee farmers and their communities. The initiative aims to plant 6000 native trees in Latin America, offsetting 1600 to 2000 metric tons of CO2 emissions and supporting at least 150 coffee farms. The expo will feature a Community Lounge to discuss the sustainable plans, alongside the popular Roaster Village, the Best New Product competition, and new additions like Green Coffee Connect and the Retail Buyers Lounge. This year's expo is expected to be the largest yet, with a focus on education, networking, and innovation tailored to the needs of coffee professionals.
