Dutch Bros Coffee Plans New Drive-Thru at Elevation Pointe

Dutch Bros Coffee is set to open a new 950-square-foot drive-thru location at Elevation Pointe in St. Johns County, Florida. The project, currently under review by the county, is located off County Road 208 near Interstate 95. The landowner and developer, Elevation Pointe LLC, applied for a permit on April 15 to build the coffee shop, which will feature a double drive-thru, a walk-up service window, parking, and a trash enclosure, but no indoor or outdoor seating. The project requires various approvals from county departments, including Environmental Division, Historic Preservation, Planning and Zoning, and Technical/Transportation Development, to ensure it fits well with the local area. Dutch Bros, known for its coffee, cold brew, chai, energy drinks, teas, lemonades, smoothies, and signature Dutch sodas, also offers a limited menu of pastries like granola bars and muffin tops. Founded in 1992 by brothers Dane and Travis Boersma, the company has grown rapidly, with 971 locations in the U.S. as of May 2023 and plans to open 150 to 165 new shops in 2024. Dutch Bros reported a revenue of $965.8 million for 2023, up significantly from previous years. The company, which became publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021, continues to expand its footprint nationwide.
