Caffe Ladro is partnering with recycling service Ridwell for an Earth Day initiative where anyone can recycle their plastic coffee bags at any Caffe Ladro location to receive a free 12 oz drip coffee on April 22. This promotion aims to address the recycling challenge posed by multi-layer plastic (MLP), which is commonly used for coffee packaging due to its benefits in preserving freshness and flavor but is difficult to recycle. Ridwell, which has recently started accepting MLP, collaborates with a partner to convert these plastics into drainage material. In line with Earth Day’s theme of combating plastic pollution, this initiative not only promotes recycling but also offers a reward for participants. Additionally, Ridwell will keep collection bins at Caffe Ladro through the end of Earth Month and is offering a month free for new sign-ups.
