Suzanne Griffen, previously the owner of Twigs and Berries Catering, has joined the team at Common Ground Coffee Co. as a baker. Her transition came after her home-based catering business was shut down due to a lack of proper licensing, a situation that left her seeking new opportunities while needing to stay local for her homeschooling children. At Common Ground Coffee Co., she is excited to combine her culinary skills with her passion for community service. The coffee shop, owned by Fort Scott Church of the Nazarene, aims to be a place of outreach and ministry, providing a welcoming environment for the community to gather, eat, and receive spiritual support. Griffen is looking forward to contributing to this mission by keeping the pastry cabinet stocked and assisting with catering and special events.
