Knoxville Unveils Expanded Recovery Center - More Aid for Addiction

The Gateway, Knoxville’s first community recovery center, has celebrated the completion of its second expansion phase, enhancing its facilities to better serve those recovering from addiction. This expansion includes a new fitness center, a recovery-focused library, a recreation area, and the launch of Gateway Coffee, a coffee shop that provides employment opportunities for individuals in early recovery. The center, which opened in September 2022, has already served over 50,000 people. Key figures like Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon and other local officials attended the ribbon-cutting event. The center aims to be a vital part of the Knoxville community, offering comprehensive support and resources for those dealing with substance misuse.
