EBBA has unveiled a new store design for WatchHouse in London, located at 30 Fenchurch Street, emphasizing a modernist aesthetic to enhance a calm, inviting atmosphere. Tasked with converting an empty space into a retail and coffee bar area, EBBA drew inspiration from European modernist architecture, particularly the works of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The design features a blend of clean lines, grid patterns, and sculptural elements to create distinct spaces within the shop. Key furniture pieces, including an eight-meter stainless steel counter and solid oak coffee tables, were custom-designed by EBBA to align with the serene, high-quality environment aimed at attracting the busy professionals of the City of London. The material palette includes warm oak and unique Ceppo stone, contributing to the store's sophisticated yet calm ambiance.
