The New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association (NZSCA) is offering a free online workshop for competitors of the upcoming regional Aotearoa New Zealand Barista Championships. Scheduled for 15 February, from 5pm to 7pm, the workshop is designed to help baristas, coaches, and judges understand the competition rules and optimize their performance. The session includes a rules-based lecture, PowerPoint presentation, and a Q&A segment. A pre-test on the rules will be sent to participants to encourage preparation. The regional competitions will be held in Auckland, Christchurch, and Wellington throughout March. With Meadow Fresh as the principal sponsor and support from other prominent coffee industry brands, the event promises to be a valuable educational experience for the coffee community.
