Scott Carle, former drummer of the indie rock band Dillon Fence, now serves as a barista at Bseisu Coffee Bar in Duke University's Wilkinson Building. Carle, who joined Dillon Fence in the late 1980s, toured extensively across the U.S. and Europe, releasing three albums and opening for notable bands like The Black Crowes. Despite the band's disbandment, Carle continues to perform occasionally with his former bandmates and other groups, including Duke students. At Bseisu, he blends his passion for music and coffee, creating a unique community spot adorned with music memorabilia. Here, Carle engages with students and staff, sharing stories and his eclectic music taste, fostering a warm, inclusive environment. This summer, Dillon Fence plans to record a live album, hinting at a possible new studio release.
