Wawa, the beloved convenience store chain, is celebrating its 60th anniversary by opening more than 70 new stores, including first-time expansions into Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina. CEO Chris Gheysens expresses gratitude to customers and associates for their support over the years. The celebration on April 16 will feature free coffee in vintage cups, special recognition for customers, announcements about future growth, and 60-cent promotional items. Additionally, The Wawa Foundation, which supports various charitable causes, will commemorate its 10th anniversary by presenting $1 million in gift cards to charity partners. Wawa, with around 1,000 stores, plans to double its presence in the next decade.
