Yemeni Aromas Brew in Ypsilanti's New Coffee House

Sana’a Coffee House is spicing up Ypsilanti with a taste of Yemen, offering traditional Yemeni spiced coffee and unique blends to the local community. The coffee house, which opened on Ellsworth Road, features a variety of drinks, including the signature Sana’ani Mofawar—a traditional coffee with milk and spices, and iced versions with cardamom and house-made syrups. The cafe also serves Adeni chai, qishr, jubani, and classic espresso drinks. The beans are sourced directly from Yemen, lending authenticity to the flavors. With a selection of cakes and pastries, Sana’a Coffee House is not only a hub for the Arab community but an inviting place for all to explore Yemeni culture and cuisine. The positive response from the community, including students and university staff, has been promising, and the cafe extends its hours during Ramadan to accommodate the fasting period.
